A number of professors from the College of Law at the University of Karbala, accompanied by a group of graduate students, met with Professor Dr. Diaa Al-Asadi, Advisor to the Iraqi Council of State.
Dr. Al-Asadi gave a detailed presentation on the structure of the Council of State and the jurisdictions of the various divisions of the Supreme Administrative Court, with a focus on the role of the Civil Service Court within the administrative judicial system.
Al-Asadi answered students’ questions regarding administrative litigation procedures and mechanisms for appealing rulings. He reviewed the most prominent challenges facing administrative courts in resolving administrative disputes and protecting employee rights. He also addressed the importance of academic cooperation with universities to ensure the qualification of legal personnel.
